My career has developed across three converging domains: engineering leadership in safety-critical industrial operations, digital product and data platform management, and asset health and reliability systems. Each has built on the last.
Field Engineering & Asset Reliability
I began my career in field engineering and maintenance roles in technically demanding environments across Latin America, working with high-value downhole tool fleets operating under extreme conditions. These roles required real-time condition assessment, systematic failure investigation, and direct accountability for asset readiness in environments with no tolerance for unplanned delay. This is where the foundation for asset health and reliability thinking was built -- from physical inspection and recorded data, before digital systems existed to automate it.
Engineering Operations & Technical Leadership
My responsibilities expanded into drilling engineering, optimisation, and regional leadership roles across South America and Australasia, supporting major international operators. I served as technical authority for engineering planning, risk assessment, and post-incident investigation while leading multidisciplinary teams and maintaining direct relationships with operator engineering and commercial leadership.
Research, Digital Platforms & Data Systems
I subsequently transitioned into global product management, leading integrated hardware--software platforms that connected sensing systems, real-time data acquisition, and analytics software. This was followed by an applied data science leadership role in Cambridge, UK, bridging research and engineering to translate advanced modelling into deployable operational solutions.
Enterprise Data & AI Leadership
Most recently I led enterprise data strategy, governance, and architecture for a global industrial division, building the infrastructure required to make AI and analytics viable at operational scale across more than sixty regulatory jurisdictions.
Across these roles a consistent thread has been the integration of engineering domain knowledge, digital systems, and data capabilities to address complex operational problems. The three capability areas on this site reflect this progression.
